Office Appointments

All patients are seen by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled by calling the office at (203) 438-3761. If you are unable to stay for an appointment, we offer the option of drop off service.  Speaking with a technician or doctor over the phone or in-person is required before dropping off your pet for an exam. While we are not a 24/7 emergency clinic, we do offer some after-hours and urgent appointments for our clients. Emergency and urgent care cases are seen on a triage basis and transferred to referral hospitals for intensive care as needed.

For the safety of your pet, other animals, and clients, all dogs must be leashed and controlled by their owners and cats/other animals must be in a protective carrier or on a leash when in the hospital.

For your convenience, please fill out a Welcome/Check In Sheet and bring to your appointment. We look forward to seeing you and your pet!

Boarding Appointments

For your convenience, we offer boarding and medical boarding services at Redding Veterinary Hospital. For many of our clients, boarding their pets at a veterinary hospital offers peace of mind, knowing that a medical professional is on staff to care for their animal if the need arises.

Boarding patients can be dropped off and picked up during hospital hours, from 8:00AM – 5:00PM Monday through Friday or 8:00AM-1:30PM Saturday. The hospital office is closed on Sundays.

For your convenience, please fill out a Boarding Check-In Sheet and bring with you to the appointment.

We require all boarding animals to be current on core vaccinations (Kennel Cough, DHPP, and Rabies for dogs; FVRCP and Rabies for cats) and have a current negative fecal examination. Please call us at least one week ahead of time to schedule your pets’ boarding appointment. We can perform needed vaccinations or a fecal at least one week prior to boarding for your pet. We are also happy to honor vaccination status with a current copy of your pet’s medical records from your regular vet. Please ask us about boarding for your pocket pets!

We also offer physical examination, leash walking, and grooming services for our boarders for owner convenience. These services are offered on an appointment basis. All boarders receiving any type of physical exam, diagnostic, or surgical procedure MUST meet with a veterinarian and/or veterinary technician before the procedure is scheduled. Ask us about our medical boarding for animals with medications and chronic conditions.

If any boarder is found with parasites, they will be treated at the owner’s expense. If a boarder should become ill, he/she will be treated at the veterinarian’s discretion (if the owner cannot be reached at the emergency number).

Our compassionate staff members offer your pet excellent boarding care and personal attention and alert our doctors if any medical issues arise. We are happy to provide your pet with its own special diet and feeding regiment, but please leave any valuable toys, blankets, etc, at home.

Grooming Appointments

We provide gentle, professional, breed-specific grooming services for your pets by appointment only.

We require all grooming animals to be current on core vaccinations (Kennel Cough, DHPP, and Rabies for dogs; FVRCP and Rabies for cats). A current negative fecal examination is strongly recommended. We are happy to honor vaccination status with a current copy of your pet’s medical records from your regular vet.

If any grooming animal is found with parasites, they will be treated at the owner’s expense. If an animal should become ill, he/she will be treated at the veterinarian’s discretion (if the owner cannot be reached at the emergency number).

Sedated grooming services, if required for your pet, are also available by appointment only. Additional fees apply. Our veterinary technicians and doctors must approve of the appointment, and will provide monitoring during the procedure. A current physical exam and routine vaccinations, or current record from your regular veterinarian, are required before a sedated groom can be scheduled. Current bloodwork and urinalysis are strongly recommended. Sedative protocol will be tailored to the needs of your individual animal.

Surgery Appointments

Redding Veterinary Hospital offers many surgical services, from ovariohysterectomy (spay) and castration to more specialized procedures, such as cranial cruciate ligament repair. All surgeries are scheduled through our technicians and patient care coordinators.  Please call the office at (203) 438-3761 for more information.

A physical exam and pre-anesthetic laboratory work, prior to scheduling a surgical procedure, are required for all patients. This allows our doctors to discuss the procedure, outcome, and treatment plan for your pet, as well as make sure your pet is physically able to handle surgery and anesthesia. At that time, we can also provide you with a more accurate estimate of the cost of the procedures recommended for your pet.

We provide excellent routine and specialized surgical services on-site as well as through referral specialists. We are thrilled to work with a mobile board-certified veterinary surgical specialist, Philip Pacchiana, DVM, MS, DACVS, and Amy Pacchiana, LVT of Cutting Edge Vet Surgery, allowing us to provide the highest level of surgical care at our hospital at the convenience of our clients.  The safest anesthetics available are used, along with full monitoring equipment, and compassionate after care/hospitalization.

Payment

Payment in full is required at the time services are rendered.  We are happy to provide estimates for any hospitalization, procedures, and/or surgeries beforehand. A minimum 50% deposit on hospitalization, surgical, and special procedure estimates is required. We accept payment by MasterCard, Visa, Discover, AMEX, debit card, CareCredit, cash, and check.
