Dr. Philip E. Bolton, DVM
Dr. Bolton is a former naval officer who left active duty to attend the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, graduating in 1995. After completing a small animal internship in emergency medicine and critical care, he worked in both large and small animal practices in New England, including operating as chief of staff, regional medical director, and chief medical officer to oversee a number of large-scale veterinary hospitals. Before acquiring the Redding Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Bolton also practiced emergency medicine and critical care in New Haven and general practice medicine in Southbury.
Dr. Bolton has an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering which prepared him for a prior career in the Navy. His decision to go into veterinary medicine as a second career was based on a love of animals, as well as a desire to help clients and their animals by tackling challenging health problems. His wife, Dr. Susan Block, also works at the practice. They have three cats, two dogs and three beastly little boys.
Dr. Susan E. Block, DVM
Dr. Susan E. Block is an associate veterinarian at Redding Veterinary Hospital. She and Dr. Bolton are married have three boys. Dr. Block completed her undergraduate education in 1992 at the Rosary College in Chicago, Illinois, where she majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry. She then went on to veterinary school at the University of Illinois, graduating in 1996. Dr. Block also interned at the Brookfield Zoo’s Nutritional Department. Dr. Block has practiced in both small and large animal practices throughout New England.
Dr. Angela Muoio, DVM
Dr. Mary Beran, DVM
Dr. Mary Beran attended Williams College for her undergraduate studies and received her veterinary degree from Tufts University in 1993. She went on to complete externships at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Beran and her husband Mike have three beautiful daughters and one cat. We are excited to have Dr. Beran as a part of the RVH veterinary team!
